Jonah's Tale

Drew this while I was working on a series of sermons going through the story of Jonah.

Being swallowed by the big fish (I cheated here and went with a whale) is the part of Jonah's tale that is most known, but truly his journey to Ninevah afterwards and his distress as Ninevah repents and is spared from judgement is the place where the story of Jonah really resonates for me.

This came from a picture I took of the drawing, so I'm somewhat disappointed that it isn't as clear as I'd like. Particularly lacking is the stippling done in the picture of Jonah under the vine with the worm on the branch. Oh well.
